You might be wondering after the back-and-forth legal battles over the BOI report filing injunction. Well, the Department of Justice has asked the Supreme Court to weigh in and potentially set aside the national injunction blocking those filings.
What does this mean for you? The deadline for plaintiffs to respond is January 10th, but don’t hold your breath for filings anytime soon. The recent budget fight in Congress included a proposal to delay BOI reporting for another year, and while it didn’t make it into the final bill, it’s possible that a continuing resolution later this year could bring it back. 🤔
