What is Poverty? Ep 1 of Just the Facts: Do you Qualify?

How does the United States government define poverty and how are those numbers used to determine what government programs Americans qualify for? In this video series, we’ll cover how the government defines poverty (using a formula called the “Official Poverty Measure”) and the historical and current poverty rates in the United States.
